Phase-Change Technology
Phase-change technology, or two-phase cooling, utilizes a cooling fluid’s latent heat of vaporization to transfer heat efficiently and continuously. As the fluid is exposed to the heat source, it absorbs the heat until it reaches its vaporization point. As it evaporates, the heated, less-dense fluid can be easily transferred to the assembly’s heat dissipation structure (i.e., heat sink), where it releases the heat and condenses back into fluid. Both phase changes occur without allowing for any notable rises in temperature, creating a continuous and eco-friendly cooling loop.
